Summer Outreach Programs: AZ Fossils and AZ Rocks!

Hey kids, are you interested in fossils? Love collecting rocks? Join us for some fun!

This June and July, we are partnering with the Arizona Historical Society's Arizona Heritage Center to present two free geology-themed programs for kids ages 5-10: Arizona Fossils and Arizona Rocks! Join us on June 20th and July 11th from 10am-noon to learn about Arizona geology in a fun and interactive setting - no RSVPs necessary. 

Thursday, June 20th - Arizona Fossils: Dig for real fossils and learn how geologists use fossils to learn about ancient life on earth.

Thursday, July 11th - Arizona Rocks: Learn about the importance of mining in our state and take part in an interactive ore hunt, where your child can choose their very own minerals to take home!

The Arizona Heritage Center is located at 1300 N. College Ave. in Tempe. They are open Monday through Saturday, and host a variety of fascinating exhibits about Arizona history and culture.
