Where Can You See the Museum's Specimens?

While the museum building on Washington Street is not yet open, we still share our rocks, minerals and mining artifacts with the public through partnerships with other museums and cultural institutions. These collaborations can include loans, guest exhibits, and traveling displays. As of November 2021, our specimens are on display at a number of organizations, including:

- Arizona Historical Society's Arizona Heritage Center in Tempe, AZ
- Arizona State House of Representatives in Phoenix, AZ (in progress)
- Arizona State Senate in Phoenix, AZ
- Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum in Miami, AZ
- Cave Creek Museum in Cave Creek, AZ
- McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fort McDowell, AZ

Our loan at the Arizona Historical Society's AZ Heritage Center includes this exhibit on the second floor, 'Arizona Copper and Copper Minerals.' Plenty of touchable specimens here - check it out next time you visit.

Downstairs in the AZ Heritage Center's Natural History Gallery, we have a new case of exceptional Arizona wulfenite specimens.
Our senate displays are on the third floor. They include minerals from five AZ counties. This one is Cochise.
The mineral cases are a great backdrop for the AZ Senate meeting/lounge area.

One of our newest loans is at the Gallery @ Phoenix City Hall. It includes beautiful copper and copper mineral specimens as well as historic mining artifacts. Stay tuned for more updates.

Finally, here's our Tucson Gem and Mineral Show (TGMS) display from 2020. It showcased world-class Arizona minerals. Unfortunately the 2021 show was cancelled, but we'll be back in 2022!
