Banquet of Rocks 'Easter Breakfast'
Pancake breakfast on Easter morning, anyone?
Happy Easter weekend from the museum! This is our 'Easter Breakfast' display, currently in the Copper Gallery. It is part of the Banquet of Rocks collection, originally donated from Margaret and Arless Nixon and showcased at the AZ Mining and Mineral Museum for many years. The rest of the banquet is currently at the Cave Creek Museum on loan (see blog post here!).
Below are some photos of our two breakfast setups - pancakes and bacon and steak and eggs. Which plate of "food" would you prefer? Can you name the rocks that make up the Easter eggs?
